Fun With Hannah!

This is a new section of our blog. Hannah is going to give fun ideas for her baby cousins to do, ok some of them aren't babies anymore.

First fun activity is Shaving Cream art!
All you need is a can of cheap shaving cream and an outside table or even the bathtub. Just simply spray shaving cream on the table and draw in it with your fingers. You can practice your name, spelling words, numbers and so on. When done just simply hose of if outside or finish your bath. To do this in a bath you need tiled walls.

Another idea close to this one is, you can use pudding to finger paint with. All you need is paper and pudding. Nice thing about this on is you can eat it, negative about this one is it is sticky. If you have little ones they can do the shaving cream in a high chair with whipping cream, doesn't matter if they eat it!

Another fun and simple project is It looked like spilt milk! There is a book called "It Looked Like Spilt Milk" borrow it if you don't own it. Then read it. Then get some blue paper (construction paper is best but anything blue paper will work) and some white paint. Have the kids fold the paper in half. Then put paint (dots, but don't have to much space, you want to paint to touch when done) on one-side of the paper. Then refold and press the paint down and "move" it with your hands. Open up and let dry. Then put them all together (you need several) in a book and everyone can start to "read" books to each other. If you like you can write It looked like ________________ to me and let the kids fill in the blank or leave it blank.

This is for the older kiddos. Some of your little ones are starting school soon. When I(Kat) was a little girl I wrote to my great grandmother and she wrote me back. I was 18 when she died and if you knew her well, getting my letters back wasn't going to happen. Ph, she had them along with every other piece of mail she ever recieved in her 99 years of life. Anyway, I still have have letters to me. I love to just see her handwriting and it brings back memories of her. Now, in a day of e-mail won't it be neat for your kids to one day have letters from Grandma and Grandpa's and even G.G.'s (as we call them here).

We hope you have fun with these ideas and look for more to come. Also don't forget to leave a comment. Tells us if you do them and did you like them. Also if you want more let us know. Do you want outside or indies activities, free or some cost, boy and or girl, and anything else you can think of.

With love,
Hannah

Most of all, just have fun.
