First "good" snow of Winter 2012-2013

OMG!!!! I can't believe he is 14 yrs old and I do have to say so very HANDSOME!!!!

Late last night our Grandma Judy and Hannah's BFF Jill lost their niece Cassie. She was 21 years old and is now in peace. We will miss her smile and her laugh. I remember her as a 2 1/2 yr old at Sarah's first birthday. She so wanted to direct Sarah in everything she did, but our hard headed Sarah just wasn't going to let her. I can still hear her calling Sarah, "Baby, come here baby!" You will be missed Cassie. RIP sweet angel.

While we were in Las Vegas because Big Grandpa passed away. A wonderful man and doctor died in a wild accident. Dr. Avery is the surgeon who operated on Hannah when she was 7 yrs old. He fixed her brain and spinal cord issue. He was only 45 yrs old and leaves behind a dad, siblings, a wife and 3 young children. I believe the oldest child is around Hannah's age. Please add the Avery family to your prayers to help them though this difficult time. RIP Dr. Avery you truly will be missed!

Goodbye Big Grandpa!

Rest In Peace Big Grandpa! On August 12, 2012 our big grandpa (daddy's dad) passed away and went to heaven. We were lucky because the weekend before we all (except mom who was sick) went to Las Vegas and visited with him. It was unexpected and we miss him. We love you Big Grandpa and will see you again one day!

Thanks for asking Cousin Ashley, I'm Great! It looked horrible for a few days, it bubbled and scabbed, then just fell off. No infections but a lot of pain. Since my vascular system isn't right it hurt more than it would on other people. Thank you for asking about me and for your prayers. I would post a picture of it but Grandpa and Grandma Clark didn't like it when they saw it, so I am sparing the rest of the family. I love you all very much and hope to one day see you all again. Prayers for Hannah NEEDED!

This is a quick note to tell everyone that at lunch today Hannah spilled her soup in her lap. Her right leg has 3 small burns and 1 large burn on it. They are between 1st and 2nd degree burns. As painful as this is for her the biggest risk to her is infection. If she gets an infection, well infections in anyone with KT can cause death quickly with nothing doctors can do. So, PRAYERS PLEASE that she handle the pain well and NO INFECTIONS come. Love to you and even in pain Hannah sends everyone hugs and kisses!

One of the things I love about Flag is it may snow but 3 days later it is all gone! The pictures below were taken Monday and by Thursday it was all gone. So, dad feel free to visit! Kat

Did you notice the cushions? We haven't had much snow to talk about so I left them on, oops my bad!

Weather update: It is sunny and snowing, you just have to love Flagstaff!

HELP Dad, we need those penguins!

As of 7:52 am we had 24 to 29 inches of snow in Flagstaff, the snowbowl has 53 inches. It is currently, well SNOWING! Could you please send us those four snow shoveling penguins we talked about? Thanks! HArd to believe tomorrow is the first day of spring. Kids are going to go play in the snow, I will take photos and all of you in warm places can be jealous of our piles and piles of snow! Also look at this in our local news paper...Avalanche danger is a possibility on the San Francisco Peaks, the Coconino County Sheriff’s search and rescue unit is warning. UMMM...guess it is a good thing we live on the east side not the west side of town! Hey Sis want to come and visit me for a week and a half? LOL!

P.S. Dad my truck won't start, again! Are you sure you don't want a new truck? Can you ask Judy to keep an eye on the credit union for a Ford Flex, I really want one but not at $39,900. Art's car is only at 40,000 miles needs to hit 60,000 for him to get a new one. We really need a spare if we are going to keep truckie, she is getting old and not happy about it, yes, that is how I know I have a female truck! Love you all!

I can't believe I'm...

40! Yes folks I turned 40 this month. SO, this past week over spring break Hubbie took the family to Lake Arrowhead, CA and to Hemet to visit family and friends. I came home with 3 awesome new things. First I have a very short but very cute new hairdo, not sure how much Hubbie likes it since he likes long hair, but sweetie it will grow!

The next two things are way too cool...can you say Baby Lock! YUP! I have a new (used) Baby Lock Evolve, which is a way cool but high learning curve serger...see photo below, not actually my machine but grabbing from web was easier. Yes, that is an 8 thread serger and it came with about 6 different feet, so excited!


The same woman was also had an Ellageo for sale, this is a sewing/embroidery machine.



The family was moving to Ireland, her Hubbie's home country and couldn't take them with. She was so happy to sell them to me because of Hannie. The price was incredible! Hubbie offered to buy me two different sewing machines that cost at least double of what we paid for these two machines.

Yes! I know how lucky I am to have my Hubbie and the kids are so blessed to have him as a daddy. I should say Hannah loves the new machine and even Sarah sewed on it. If you want to come and play with them let me know I would love to have you!

Thank you Hubbie for a great day at Ikea! I love my new paper roll, if you live near an Ikea and have kids you must get a paper roll holder and paper roll hours of fun with these items! Also, thank you to my kids for being so good while I shopped at my favorite store, you are great! Love Mommy and for Art Love Kat!

Makes my wish mine were smaller, I do think I will make the DIY tent for Hannah, give her a place to read inside when we have snow and outside in the shade, our sun is strong up here.

February 2012 has not been my month!

Last week I lost my little friend. If you ever were at my dad's house then you would have known her as Molly but to me and my kids she was Casper, a black and white mixed pup. She had the sweetest voice, yes she loved to talk to us. We will never forget the endless ear cleanings you gave us. Rest in peace sweet angel until we meet again.

Just was thinking about...

Have you ever had someone just pop-up in your mind? That recently happened to me. I was talking to my dad and I asked about my great uncle Artie and my great aunt Louanna. Both were a very important part of my childhood, along with their two beautiful daughters Sandy and Nancy and Artie's mom, my great grandma Rilla. Well, my dad let me know that yesterday at around 11:00am my great aunt passed away. Aunt Louanna thank you so much for the food yes they had some wonderful meals at their house, your wonderful laugh and smile. You will be missed and could you please give great grandma Rilla a kiss for me and tell her I love her and miss her. Thanks doll! Love Kathy

Michael...run young man run!

Michael passed away Feb. 17 2012. He was 18 years old and like our Hannah he had KT. He will be missed and I hope his mother and brother's know we all are thinking of them and sending our love to them during this time!

Our KT friend Michael is in the hospital for the 73rd time. Sadly doctors are telling his mom and brothers that this the end. Michael is 18 years old and a fighter but his body has been through alot. Please pray for Michael, mom Geneva and his two older brothers. Michael you are in our hearts sweet, dear young man. Love Kat and Hannah
