Thought you would like to see our backyard at ground level...

This is the tree you can see and touch on our second story deck. See the deck?
Towards my bridge and large bird feeder, honestly!

See the deck, see the snow, they almost touch, this crazy snow!

YES, more snow!!!!!

A view off our side deck!
A neighbors tree, isn't it pretty?

More neighbors tree's!
Under all this snow is my bridge, really a bridge is there. Also one of those a a large brid feeder, that is how high the snow is.

The far corner of our yard DAD. This is the yard next to Monica's house. Crazy isn't it? Worse snow in 15 years according to neighbors. Hoping our roof holds up.

Is this child labor?

We had to clean the deck, again! On a sad note the roof of our Jo*Anns collasped as well as the roof of Bookmans next door. All that fabric and all those wonderful crafts...how sad:(

Day 3 blanket update!

We have the fabric and you would think with all this snow we would have time to get them done. But sadly no! We have been digging out driveways for doctor appts., doing homeschool (today we are not, we are taking a snowday) and now we are doing house safety. Watching Ice dams, clearing both decks, waiting for daddy so we can dig out the driveway when he gets home from work and well, just enjoying life and each other and the snow. The snow is the reason we moved here.

We are still here...

we are just wet and cold! We had to clear off the second story deck before it collasped under the weight of all the snow. Good thing we did, it is now falling harder and faster. Hey Dad, do you want to come and visit? hehehe!

We just wanted to say...

we love you all! We say this just in case the weather people are correct and we do get the 4 feet of snow they are saying is heading our way. California has been hit hard by these storms and SarahBeth hasn't seen her school since last week, I don't think she is missing it much. So, just in case this is the end of the world, at least as we knew it, maybe Heaven's Gate Cult was right and the Earth needs to recycle itself, we say thanks for the memories, the laughs and the love.

SarahBeth wants to leave a "Happier Note" she says "Live long and prosper"!

"Oh SarahBeth, are you becoming a trekkie?"

"Sweet dear mother, NO (she says as she rolls her eyes)!"

"Ok, sweet love of mine, apple of my eye!" Mom says as she nearly chokes to death on her laughter.

"You just love me way to much. Can't you neglect me like other parents do their teens." She yells as she stomps downstairs to her room.

Yes, downstairs! We keep her in the basement.

Mattie Baby!

SarahBeth was in FALA's Fringe. In an hour and a half 11 plays are done. One every half hour. You pick the ones you want to see. SarahBeth was unlucky in her play and her director. The plays were written by older students in creative writing and they are directed by advance theater students. I do have to say she did a great job playing a dysfunctional mother, hence the MOO-MOO outfit. Oh well, she learned a great life lesson during this play. Life isn't always fair!

Snow, Snow and maybe more Snow!

We are starting to get buried under all the snow they said would be coming.

So far we are nowhere near the 8 feet everyone was worried about.

Day 2

We now have 1 photo for the blankets and all the fabric for the blankets. I hope to get to work on them tomorrow. I would love to have them done by next week so I can mail them. Jarod picked a blue with bears for a boy and Hannah picked cheerleading for a girl. The other 3 are for girls. It seems like fabric designers forget that there are boys in the world would love handmade items.

Example: They had flannel for $1.50 a yard, normally $6.00 a yard so I bought some for comfy pants. They had about 40 bolts of fabric and 5 were for boys, none had enough fabric for Jarod to get pants but Sarah, Hannah and Art are getting some. In case you are wondering how Art can have some but not Jarod? Jarod is picky, Art gets what I buy him:)

Day 1

We signed for Disney's Give A Day, Get A Day! we are doing Project Linus. we are going to make 5 blankets for this project and we are excited. We need to do it FAST, as we hope to go to Disneyland in March. So, watch our blog and root us on. Photo's to follow as I need to take them for the project.

OK, If you like to read mysteries with some romance....

then pick the Deadly series by Brenda Joyce. I just love this series of books and after several years and several e-mails from me to the author and her publisher, the author e-mailed me to say she is getting allowed to write more books for this series. She would like to write 3 but they are allowing 1 more to see how well it sells. SO, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, run to your local bookstore or library and read the first book, hopefully like me you will get hooked and I can stop haunting on-line bookstores to write a negative review about the publisher not letting this author finish this series.
