Great Neighbors are a Blessing...
We woke up to even more SNOW! The snow plow left me with a 4 by 4 wall of snow. Thankfully Hannah is well and has no appts. I shoveled the sidewalk as required by law, yes by law! But just was not going to get to the driveway or street. Thankfully our wonderful neighbor Dan, who has a snow blower came out and rescued us! He did the driveway and the street. Sarah made him brownies as a thank you. So, again here are more photos of the snow.

A Poem by Us Kids! ENJOY!
A night at the Library
'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the library,
All creatures were reading, even the mouse (with his glass of milk);
The bookmarks were placed in the books with care,
In hopes that the librarian would soon be there;
The children were nestled all snug on their chairs,
While visions of adventures played out in their heads.
With Sarah in science fiction and Jarod in non-fiction,
They were both preparing for a short winter break.
When out in the parking lot snow began to fall,
We jumped from our chairs to throw a few balls.
And low and behold it wasn’t snow,
But cheese being thrown from the store below.
When, what to our wondering eyes should appear,
But Hannah dressed up like a tiny reindeer,
With a short little giggle and a quick little jig,
We knew in a moment a gift she would give.
More rapid than eagles the librarians ascended,
And shouted to all, the story has ended!
"Happy reading to all, and to all now turn off the lights."

A great laugh...
When I was younger, my parents took me to see this troop.Les Ballets du Trockadero. I remember my stomach hurting when it was over. I also remember getting to meet the troop. They were a nice group of men. Enjoy!

Never Again!
My other children...
My girls!
Sass E!
Brand E!
This is what happens when your children start to grow up and you feel unneeded. You go out and get more "children". Sass is almost 6 years old and Brand is 4 years old. Sass E is Art's idea of a dog and Brand E is mine. Both girls however follow me all day and hang on my every word. They also listen about as well as the other 4 kids. If it is food related, oh boy do they listen but anything else and you can forget it.

A Field Trip!
The Telescope!
The Telescope House!
Percival Lowell's final Resting Spot, Next to his Telescope!
Mr. Lowell's Library, when he was alive!
We went to Lowell's Observatory. We got to see the really large telescope! A few fun facts about it. One of the lens is covered with a frying pan. The other one was the roof moves on 1956 Chevy Truck tires! Way to cool! The kids had fun and more importantly they learned a lot. Hannah learned we live on Earth. Jarod knows that Comets are not rocks, but melting ice. Sarah learned that the Asteroid Belt is nothing like they showed in Star Wars. In truth Han Solo could have flown through easily! You just have to love what they do pick up from some guy talking to them!
Thank You Sarah!
A quick thanks to Sarah for making a difficult cake for Jarod on his birthday! Why difficult? First, she wanted to make it without Jarod knowing. Since they are home together all day, she had to stay up late to bake it. Then she had to hide it. With the help of Grandma, who got Jarod out of the house, she was able to frost it and decorate it. The hide it again. The hardest part was making the UB Funkeys on top. There is no shape pan for these, so they had to hand cut out of sheet cake. She did a wonderful job and it tasted great. Jarod loved it!

Happy Birthday!
Ok it is 10 years ago today that I gave both to a very handsome little man. I have to say he was once little but hasn't been in some time. He is almost 5 feet tall. Tall and skinny just like his Uncle Kelly. Once upon a time he even looked like his Uncle Kelly. It is funny how our genes work. We love you Mr. Handsome!

SNL made fun of one of Sarah's favorite shows...
We are big House fans, so the fact Hugh Laurie was "Derek" just made it better to us!

OH! What I learned from the snow...
Jarod needs new snowboots. If he was a little bigger he cold wear Arts. His foot is as big as mine!
Hannah needs new pants. She has finally grown about an inch. So, I need to go off and sew.
Sarah is so "old" she is past jumping out of bed to play in the snow. She would rather get her teenage sleep, than play. BOO-HOO!

When Mom was young her parents divorced. The one thing Mom insisted on was Sunday Night Family Dinner. Grandpa come over every Sunday. Well, when she was 17 and met Dad he started to come over every Sunday also. Mom would make him Chocolate something. Recently, Dad told us this story and said he always wondered what happen to the girl who feed him chocolate every Sunday. So, when Mom found this...
